Grepolis 2 bot – Development has ended

Notice

The development of the Grepolis 2 bot has ended. It has been a fun project but it is time to move on. The source code is now available on GitHub so other developers can continue my work.

Final release

The final release will remain available on this site and you can also find it on GitHub. The Grepolis developers are still testing the https (ssl) implementation, if they decide to add that I’ll release one more version so that the bot supports https.

Open source

The source code is available on GitHub. Feel free to fork my project to continue with your own version. If you have any questions about the source code, need some extra comments, or got compile errors, let me know.

Thanks you uthar. Do you know if there is volunteer for forking your project ?

    1. You can check that at https://github.com/josdemmers/Grepolis2Bot, in the top right corner you can see the amount of forks.
Currently there is only one but I hope more will start working on the project.

Is there any expiring date for the source code?

    1. Expiring date? What do you mean?

is possible to change boot to give automatic attacks?

    1. It will be a lot of work but it is possible if you want to give it a try. I would suggest to start looking for the http requests you need. After that you want to make an interface to manage/plan your attacks.

I’m however against automatic attack/support so don’t expect help from me.

NΓ£o entendo nada sobre esse assunto, mais gostaria de utiliza-lo. O que podem me ensinar ? o que preciso saber para poder faze-lo?

        valeu galera!

        1. Next time use google translator please!

If you want to update the bot yourself you need to learn C# and you need to be familiar with http requests.
However, if you have never programmed before it will take a while before you are able to do this.

will the bot still work without any problem?

    1. At the moment it is still working but future updates of Grepolis could cause problems.

Uthar just a question why are you stopping to develop the bot ?

Thanks for all the work you did !

Grepolis already did some changes first error’s are comming in.

    1. The main reason is that I’m busy finishing my master thesis, costs a lot of time.

Also to let you know there is some activity on GitHub so lets hope other users start release updates in the future.

I get these errors when i want to start : http://prntscr.com/7kqmxk

    1. Good to see you are interested πŸ™‚
You have it almost working you only need to add the dll files as reference to your project. There are two ways to do this:
      1) Download the latest version of the bot, v2.86.0.1, and add those dll files.
      2) Or compile the subprojects (grepBuildings, grepCulture, etc.) yourself and add those dll files.

        1. Skype is not going to work, too busy at the moment.
But I’ll give you my email, for when you have questions.

Hey, I was also thinking about continuing this project.
Sadly I suck pretty much at C#, but I am good with Lua and can find my way with making websites.

          Perhaps we could work together.

    Hey πŸ™‚

Is it possible to add a auto message reader ? If yes, i will try to do it πŸ™‚

    1. Yes you could check the notifications for new messages, when you detect one send a server request to open the message window.

The bot works by sending http requests, so basically everything you can do in a real browser is also possible with the bot with some effort.

    Uthar, we miss you.
Had a look at your coding but it’s far beyond my skills.
    Atm there are 2 bugs:
    – farming doesn’t appear in logs (but does work) prob something to do with new farm images
    – when warehouse is full bot totally stops. It doesn’t build and doesn’t restart farming when warehouses aren’t full anymore.

Any progress from other codes? Because there isn’t much action on Github.
